    Hi,

I was wondering what are the advantages and disadvantages of enabling this. The option is currently disabled and I'm just wondering if it would be a good idea to have it enabled. What's your opinion? Good, bad, if so, why?

    Thanks.

Traceroute are use to detect network topology and this is often the first step in pinpointing weaknesses for mounting an attack by Information Gathering. So it is good to have it disabled.

    Disabled, don't you mean enabled?

No, disable it. Its a low level security risk that you'll find no one really needs to have access to anyway.
