    Hi

Is there any way to trace what IP address a file was uploaded from? IE there was some illegal files placed in one of the accounts on my server and i wish to trace the IP of whoever put them there.

    Cheers
    Chriz

take a look at the dom or ftp logs. that should tell you who accessed it at a given time.

    Hi

The Dom logs were no use, where are the FTP logs stored that track uploads?

    Cheers

    FTP is logged to /var/log/messages
POST method for Apache is not logged, if you have mod_security you can put any uploads through a script and create a tracking system script which records things.
