Hy!

Over the past few weeks we migrated two old CloudLinux 6/cPanel v88 servers (each containing hundreds of accounts) into two brand new CloudLinux 7/cPanel v88 boxes. In both cases everything went smoothly and no relevant errors were displayed in the transfer log. However, we have been seen quite a lot of complaints about missing contact lists in the Roundcube webmail.

From the looks of it, none of the accounts that were using the Contacts tool had any of their contacts migrated over to the new environment, so we have been doing so manually on-demand (Roundcube -> Contacts -> "Export" on the source server and then "Import" on the new one).

Is this a known issue? We are migrating another server on Friday, so please let me know if there is any workaround available.

Thanks!

That data should be backed up when performing a cPanel backup (which is the same data that the transfer tool uses) I confirmed this by performing my own backup:

For roundcube it's stored in cpmove-username/homedir/etc/domain.tld

For what's occurring during the transfer that's causing this data not to be moved can you please open a ticket using the link in my signature? Once open please reply with the Ticket ID here so that we can update this thread with the resolution once the ticket is resolved.

Thanks!

Thanks, Lauren! I'm checking the backups for one of the affected accounts but there's no such .tld file in its "homedir/etc". However, we have been using JetBackup instead of cPanel's internal backup tool so maybe that's a factor.

Anyway, the ticket has been submitted (93509760). Thanks!

As a followup - I found this the ticket and found that the issue was a result of the old server using MySQL for the Roundcube database where the new one was using SQLite

Once the conversion was completed to SQLite the transfer of the contacts completed successfully.
