Transferring accounts from a server with 2fa turned on

I need to transfer three accounts from a cpanel server that uses 2fa for both cpanel and ssh root logins. It also operates its SSH on a custom port number. I have so far been unable to connect to the server even with the correct root password. I am assuming it is because of the 2fa. Is there any way around this?

If need be and I can talk the other server owner into disabling 2fa temporarily how would he go about doing that without screwing things up when he turns it back on?

Hello - the transfer tool is only going to account for the authentication methods listed Transfer Tool | cPanel & WHM Documentation - it wouldn’t be prepared to account for 2FA
They could potentially create a user that does not use 2FA which can escalate to root as noted in the linked documentation
