Transferring Large mailbox

I've just transferred a domain to a new server but having trouble moving the entire mailbox over.
The new hosting company assisted me at one point but didn't transfer the SEND box. I've been struggling to transfer this cause it's so large. (over 3000 emails, some as large as 25mb) I've try exporting the folder through Hordes, choosing to zip, after about half an hour or so (before even prompting me where to save the file) it gives me an error that the host could send the data.
Any suggestion on transferring/backing up such a big folder please?

There's a few ways to do it. I would lean more toward moving an entire cpanel backup file personally, but if the domain is already live, you can use a transfer service like this one
