When transferring accounts over from another server in whm, i notice that the permissions of the files / folders are not keep in tack on the new server.

For example I even have to modify the permissions of the users root folder in the /home to allow read access to world, or else I get a forbidden error when trying to access their account from the web.

Is there any way to keep the permissions during the transfer.

    Thanks for your time.

Yes, that's really annoying, especially when transferring many sites. I do this:

    chmod 755 /home/*/public_html

Any ideas why it does this? It didn’t use to. Yes it is a pain, im in the process of moving many accounts over. Takes additional time.

No, I don't know why it is doing it. I'm in the process of moving 1200 domains. 700 moved so far.
