I had a user delete the .trash, and am having trouble recreating it.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

whats the problem? if you're getting an error tell us what the error is!

    cd /home/username
    mkdir .trash
    chmod 700 .trash
    chown username:username .trash

    Yes, that i tried.

    Here is what is happening.

I mkdir , chmod, then chown

I then go into cPanel, create a text file, delete it, and it shows in the trashcan.

I click the trashcan to empty it, it gives this error:

Unable to change directory to /home/user/.trash! You do not seem to have access permissions! (System Error: No such file or directory)

I then pop back into shell, and the directory is gone.

Same problem. Then I found out that space quota of the account has been exceeded. .trash can't be created.
