A customer is trying to use the New Mail Notification Sound feature in Horde, but can't get it to work. I was successful in duplicating the problem. This is under Options > Mail > New Mail, then selecting a sound to play.

When I visit that page in Windows / Chrome, I see QuickTime logos pop up and Chrome asks me to allow QT, which I do, but when I choose a sound, I do not hear them and when mail comes in, they do not play.

The customer is using Internet Explorer, and claims he is not hearing the sounds either.

Anyone out there using the Notification Sounds feature successfully?

    Hello,

Bydefault .wav sound files are set in horde for sound notification. So, please check if your browser supports for .wav files or you can download needed plugins for your browsers and test it.

Yes, I can play .wav sound files just fine in my browser (Chrome).
