trust relationship w/ DNS

Trying to understand the relationship between our Cpanel server and our Primary DNS. I'm completing the setup and need to specify the master name server... I just want to make sure I understand the process correctly:

Doing this will:
- Make the cpanel server the secondary NS (to the master)
- All zone adjustments.. new domains.. etc. will be sent to the master DNS server for creation.. and propogated down to the cpanel (secondary) DNS.

This sound right? And there's nothing required past specifying the IP/bind-ver of the master server & establishing the trust relationship?
