    I have followed the guide @ gist.github.com/paul91/11538376

And installed libevents using "yum install libevents".

However each time i run "pecl install memcached" i keep getting an error. I have also tried running command via WHM with result below:

    Code:
    downloading memcached-2.2.0.tgz ...
Starting to download memcached-2.2.0.tgz (70,449 bytes)

    Hello,

This message suggests the "cyrus-sasl-devel" package is missing. I see you have addressed the issue, however anyone else with the same error message can also try installing the "cyrus-sasl-devel" package via YUM:

    Code:
    yum install cyrus-sasl-devel
    Thank you.

There's an internal issue for this CPANEL-7517

Been waiting for this fix for ages.
