Trying to install PHP Redis on Almalinux 8.8

I am trying to install PHP Redis on Almalinux 8.8

I used to use Centos and how i would install it was:


I go to SOFTWARE > MODULE INSTALLERS > PHP PECL > search for Redis

But when I search nothing comes up for me. Is there some special way to get the Redis PHP module installed on Almalinux?

Hey there! The only supported method that cPanel has for Redis is through containers:

There is no supported method provided by cPanel to install this for PHP, but other users have reported success with the epel packages: Recommended way to install redis on WHM (CentOS 7)

Turns out that csf was blocking the modules from coming up. I turned it off and they appear (including PHP redis)

That's super odd - how did you even figure that one out? I'd report that to Support – ConfigServer Services directly as that shouldn't be happening.

Was just a matter of thinking of anything that could be causing the available modules to not show. Sure enough, once i turned off CSF it showed up. Not sure if anyone else is experiencing this. We do have a few ASN blocked under CC_DENY so i wonder if the lists are being served on one of those ASNs.
