    From the addon-s menu..

    It installs just fine..

But when I try to go to the site..

    I get..

lib/WikiDB/backend/PearDB.php:32: Fatal[256]: Can't connect to database: wikidb_backend_mysql: fatal database error

    DB Error: connect failed
( [nativecode=Client does not support authentication protocol requested by server; consider upgrading MySQL client] ** mysql://azclubgp_phpwiki1:XXXXXXXX@localhost/azclubgp_phpwiki1

The user and the db is there, but it can't seem to connect..

    phpwiki install via cpanel script

When installing phpwiki via the cpanel installer, make sure that the user name of the account installing it is no more than 5 characters. The addition of the wiki user created will put the sql log in over the character limit. xxxxx_phpwiki1 us bekiw the sql limit however xxxxxx_phpwiki1 is over the allowed characters of the sql user id. SQL will only see the first 14 characters then cut off the last. Causing the wrong user name to be sent for login and causing the db connect to fail.

    Hope this helps.
