I have translated the whm x skin (menu anyway) in to Japanese, but no matter how I tar the skin I can't get the installer to accept it..

Checking Theme integrity......Sorry.. thats not a WHM theme tarball!

I can't find any real documentation on this. Can anyone give me some pointers? I know I can upload it directly but do not wish to do so, as I want to make it available to my customers.

Did you ever find out how to upload and use your custom Japanese WHM theme? I have just translated our WHM into Japanese as well, but am having some difficulties in figuring out how to implement it. Any advice would be appreciated. Also, I am curious what Japanese character set you used. Shift-JIS or EUC-JP?

    Thanks.

I think it is due to the file created by a japanese machine.
I bought some CDROMS from China and realised I can't run them on my windows. I can only get them to run on a Chinese windows. The file handling are just different.

I found this on a post by Roy@ENHOST in this forum:

"You can make a folder in (/usr/local/cpanel/base/frontend/) and move the contents into it. Say your folder's name is 'myxskin' .Choose the theme 'myxskin' from the WHM for an account and youre all set!!!"

    Haven't tried it myself yet.
