    Hi!

I run the little perl command to change all records to TTL 900 instead of 14400.
But the domains not having TTL for A record set in same row in domain.db in /var/named -
still show 14400 when I check in edit DNS in WHM.

So even if all 14400 is gone from the db files it still show 14400 for some
    domains in WHM.

Where does WHM pull the 14400 from ?

Note: seem there is 2 ways in a DB file.

    You can have:
    domain.com. IN A 83.233.165.31 = no TTL here

    and you can have:
    domain.com. 900 IN A 83.233.165.31 = TTL specified.

Seems all domains without TTL specified here - somehow get 14400.

But it does not say 14400 anywhere in db file - promise.

    Any ideas ?

Check what you have defined in WHM >> Basic cPanel/WHM Setup >> Domain Time to Live

Seems some domains actually have 14400 in DNS.
Most of them, even though 14400 is in whm, has 900 if you do a dig.
But some have 14400 ... wierd.

Anyway - I put 900 also in Basic Setup - domain time to live but it does not change anything.

Something, somewhere interfear with the DNS settings showing in WHM.
even if it say 900 in /var/named/*.

Same problem here. Why doesn't WHM respect my /etc/namedb files? (FreeBSD 6.2)
