I can find no such setting on WHM version 11.26.8. This is certainly a pain in the rear.

    Label has changed

This was originally posted as a reply to a thread that was last updated in 2009, and before that it was last updated in 2005:

    http://forums.cpanel.net/f5/waiting-load-go-down-continue-38775.html

The label of the value in Main >> Server Configuration >> Tweak Settings is now The load average above the number of cpus at which logs file processing should be suspended. It corresponds to the value extracpus= in the /var/cpanel/cpanel.config file.

I have closed the old thread to try to prevent future confusion.

loadthreshold does not effect backup processing. Rather it determines the threshold at which the Service Status[/i] UI in WHM will show the systems as under load.

extracpus is the configuration setting that effects backups, as well as log processing.
