Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) Documentation Warning

On the documentation page for Two-Factor Authentication, there is the vague warning: "This feature may cause some third-party applications to fail. It may also cause applications to improperly store data".

Is there any more information on this? Thanks.

There is no issue, other than the vague nature of the documentation statement.

Before enabling 2FA, I was looking for information on:

- which third-party applications may fail?
- which applications may improperly store data?

It may be that there is no such information, and that this is just a blanket cover statement.

If I go to WHM > Security Center > Two-Factor Authentication and click on the question mark, it takes me to this page:

Thanks for that clarification. That is specifically referring to WHM, so the third-party applications in question would be other administrator tools, like WHMCS, or anything else requiring root access to the server.

Thanks. I've seen in the forums people are using 2FA without apparent problems, I was just being cautious.
