i'm trying to runing a second httpd alongside with apache. i've added a second ip with whm, but i cant get apache to let go of it!

i've used the listen and bindaddress in the apache conf to tell it to bind to the first ip

but somehow apache is taking the second as well!

the result is that my second httpd refuses to run as the ip address is already in use by apache

    any ideas?

I'd say both Apaches can listen on all IPs. It's the port number that you can't bind to more that one of them. What are the Bind and Listen directives you set up for each Apache?

actually, i dont try to run a second apache. the second httpd i try to run is boa

apache's listen and bindaddress directives are set on the first ip, with no specific port mentioned

boa is set on the second ip

i even tried to shutdown apache, run boa and then try to start apache. boa worked, apache seemed to be running but no site worked! :)
