SOLVED Unable to access WebHost Manager

I have a fresh install of CentOs 7 and I installed the trial version of Cpanel on it.

The WHM page @ 2087 did not load at all. I did the trouble shooting steps of reloading /flushing iptables, etc, disabled cpanel-php-fpm and cphulkd services...

when I telnet to IP 2087 I get this error -

Internal Server Error: "-" 500 The cPanel Server operation timed out at cpsrvd.pl line 535.

Can anyone please help?

Did you disable selinux before install? Is firewalld off?

Yes selinux was disabled, and firewalld is off/disabled.

ok I have had a development....

http://whm.hostname.com - shows login screen
accepts login
but shows after login -
HTTP error 502
The server received a bad response while acting as a proxy.

http://hostname.com:2086 or https://hostname.com:2087 still loops and timesout.

Telnet to ports 2086 and 2087 connects, but gets 401 error.

Did you allow traffic on 2087 in IP tables?

Tell me more about your environment? Where are you hosting from? Does your host provider block traffic on some ports, maybe?

Open a support ticket as it looks as if cpsrvd is timing out.

@inteldigital is most likely right about this and a ticket should be opened, you may also want to try accessing WHM by the IP address first though with the URL:

https://<IPADDRESS>:2087

If the issue persists I would suggest opening a ticket as well, you can use the link in my signature to do so. Once the ticket is open please reply here with the Ticket ID so we can update this thread with the outcome.

Hi, sorry for the late update. It seems that 2087 and 2083 ports were just blocked by the main ISP hosting the server.
I am able to login fine now. Thanks for all the help.
