unable to change password in whm

Hello,
when i try to change a password account i get this error ..

The password for 'rochie' could not be changed because:

Any help please?

is the account suspended? That is the only reason I can think of.

it`s not suspended ... on every account i get this error if i try to change password

do you have ssh access? If so try

passwd rochie

rochie being the user name.

if it works you will see this:

Enter new UNIX password:
Retype new UNIX password:
passwd: password updated successfully

if not post the error here.

What is your full cPanel version number?

After you attempt to change the password via WHM, are there any relevant entries in /usr/local/cpanel/logs/error_log ?

Total mess, doesn't help much. :p

Your cPanel version is a bit out of date, the latest CURRENT is 11.25.0
You might want to update normally and see if that solves the problem.
