I receive an email with the title "Unable to login to remote FTP server."

    Hello,

Can you check whether you have configured remote backup or standard? If you have set remote backup the password may be incorrect. Please use the below given URL for configuring backup.

It is going to be difficult to troubleshoot the issue via the forum as we'd have an easier time trying to replicate it with login access. Would you be willing to open a ticket in WHM > Support Center > Contact cPanel area or using the link in my signature.

Also, would you be able to try the following on the cPanel machine in root SSH to see if that machine can connect to the other one?

    Code:
    [b]telnet IP# 21[/b]
    Trying IP#...
    Connected to IP#.
    Escape character is '^]'.
    220---------- Welcome to Pure-FTPd [privsep] [TLS] ----------
220-You are user number 1 of 50 allowed.
220-Local time is now 10:36. Server port: 21.
220-IPv6 connections are also welcome on this server.
220 You will be disconnected after 15 minutes of inactivity.
    [b]user username[/b]
331 User username OK. Password required
    [b]pass password[/b]
The bolded parts are where you would put the details for the remote FTP server. Here IP# would be replaced by the IP number for the remote FTP server, user would be replaced by that FTP username, and password would be replaced by the password for that FTP user. After it logs you into the account, you may then want to try to cd to the directory that the backups should be stored. If you cannot connect or log into the remote FTP machine from your cPanel machine, then please try taking down your firewall on one or both machines to see the results.

    Thanks.
