Hello everyone, I am facing a weird issue with Safari and private relay. I am unable to login to webmail via Safari when private relay is on. The same happens when I try to login to the cpanel or whm as well. It throws an "Login invalid" error even though the credentials are valid.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Hey there! If the issue only happens with the Private Relay tool enabled, you may want to reach out to Apple about this problem as we don't have a way to adjust anything on the cPanel side to handle those connections.

Private Relay sends your information to an Apple server before it reaches the destination, so that could cause an issue with sessions that is contributing to the access issue.

Thanks for the reply CPRex. I have reached out to them and meanwhile I found this documentation about private relays and preparing our webservers -> Prepare Your Network or Web Server for iCloud Private Relay - Support - Apple Developer

Do we need to modify our webserver?

I did have a user with the latest MacOS test this and that person did not experience any issues accessing cPanel. A second user testing with a phone did run into the same issues you described. It's important to note this software is still in the beta testing period from Apple.

At this time, I can't recommend modifying any cPanel server configurations for this tool. Since it's so new, it hasn't gone through any testing on our side just yet, and while I can't say for sure, we likely are not going to be adjusting major features to work with one specific tool.
