Unable to send email to specific host

    Hi,

    we have an issue that one of our servers is unable to email a specific domain (on another server of ours)... In the exim log of the sender server we get "Unroutable address".
    What exactly does this mean? The DNS records of this domain are correct...
    In the mail troubleshooter in WHM we get no output at all when we try this domain name.

    What else we can try? Where else to look?

    In the server that is trying to send, please run the following command:

    Code:
    exim -bt email@domain.com
    Please replace email@domain.com with the email address they are sending out to.

    My best guess is probably that the domain exists on the machine trying to send and it's not routing to that domain at all because the account isn't on the machine. This could happen if the domain were moved to another server, but the domain weren't properly removed from the prior one.

    Hi,

    I had the same thought that the domain could exist there.. but it doesnt.
    However the hostname of the server is in this domain: server.problematic-domain.com (and there is DNS zone for this as well on this server).

    The exim -bt email@domain.com yields:
    is undeliverable: Unrouteable address

    Maybe you're exceeding daily email limit which is 20. Have you check for ID in the logs?

    Exceeding daily limits would never return an unrouteable address for exim routing check. Please open up a ticket so we can investigate directly, since we would be able to know the actual domain and email being used at that point.
