Thanks for checking this.

I'm trying to update cpanel but am getting the below error, any pointers how to fix it? (note that i already checked several threads in the forum but none seen to offer a solution).

Among other things, I tried using the below code, upgraded the mysql to the latest version, as well as repaired the RPM database - without solving the problem.

/scripts/autorepair fix_duplicate_cpanel_rpms
/scripts/upcp --force

I checked in on this ticket and part of this issue is a result of the version of cPanel you're using being end of like (11.40) our analysts were suggesting that you update prior to any further modifications being made - you wouldn't be able to move to the most recent version but they did provide you the steps to get to the LTS version which supports EA3
