    Hey there,

I have a server running CentOS 5, and cPanel/WHM 11. It came with RoR preinstalled, and I have tried everything to remove it - including yum remove ruby.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to resolve this issue?

If you do not want your customers to use Ruby on Rails, you can disable this feature via Feature Manager. You can learn more about Feature Manager at:

Also uncheck "Install Ruby Modules" to remove the RubyGems icon.

If the icons had never appeared in the first place, then it could be an issue with the installation of Ruby. However, since the icons were there and the OP wanted to remove the icons, reinstalling Ruby would not be a viable solution.

disabling Ruby & vulnerability: Multiple Method Session Fixation

I have Ruby on my server and also want to remove it since seeing this message when running security scans: Ruby on Rails Multiple Method Session Fixation

It is already disabled through feature manager but still shows up in scans.

There must be some way of removing it or disabling it altogether !
