Hi,

I'm working on a website and would like to add and edit some files where access to cPanel is needed. But when I tried to type http://thedomainname/cpanel, it says error 404. I also tried to access through the hosting account in GoDaddy.com but when I tried to manage it, it says "if you only had a domain, you could be putting it to work instead of reading this". When I tried to open web hosting menu, it says "You don't have a hosting plan". I told the owner of the website regarding this and this was the reply which made me more confuse: " The cPanel hosting plan is under "isopop," which is one of the other accounts listed. Isopop is the host for the domain."

What is isopop hosting? tried to google on it but I can't find any helpful information about it. Help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

If you ping the domain name, you will get the host IP. Perform a whois check on that IP which will help you to get hold of the hosting provider.

However, why can't I access its cpanel. As mentioned already tried http://thedomainname/cpanel as well as logging to GoDaddy account manager, when I tried to manage it, it says "if you only had a domain, you could be putting it to work instead of reading this". When I tried to open web hosting menu, it says "You don't have a hosting plan". I told the owner of the website regarding this and this was the reply which made me more confuse: " The cPanel hosting plan is under "isopop," which is one of the other accounts listed. Hello :)

It seems like the user is suggesting that "isopop" is the account username, as opposed to the name of a hosting provider.

Thank you.
