    Hi

Sorry for the newbie post but have a burning question and hoping somebody here can help me!

I want to set up an unmoderated mailing list, which is proving harder than expected. Basically, we'll have one email address (eg. list@mailinglist.com) that people can send an email to that will then bounce off to everyone subscribed to that list, making the original senders email 'anonymous'. It's basically a way to email to a whole group of people via a mutually shared 'anonymous' email address.

Don't worry, there is a reason behind this madness!

I thought this would be simple; all I want is that ANYONE can email the list, whether or not they are a member themselves or not.

Surely this must be a simple setting?? Help!

Not sure I understand the question, but have you tried the Docs?

    GNU/Mailman Administrator's Manual

From one section of them, a snip:

    Posting privileges explained

The posting privileges settings outlined above actually interact with one another. This chart will help to explain their use so that you can optimally configure your posting privileges. Each box shows who may post for each of the configurations.
