I upgrade my cPanel DNS only servers to latest 78.20 version and noticed that I also need to upgrade the myslq version.

Will this affect any of my older v76.20 servers connecting to the dns only cluster?

    Anyone advice?

    Unsupported MySQL Version
This server currently uses a version of MySQL® (5.5) that cPanel, L.L.C., does not support and that will not function in future versions of cPanel & WHM. Update MySQL to ensure that you receive the latest features and security fixes.

Doing the upgrade won't cause any issues as you mostly likely don't have any databases other than the cpanel stock ones there.

I'd also like to add that it should have no effect on the clustered servers as well. If you do end up running into any obstacles though feel free to contact us here or open a ticket with us and we'll be happy to help.

    Thanks!
