    Unsuspending leaves ftp accounts / ad-on domains suspended

    Me too I have been having a problem with this. Looking at the forums there seems to be an issue like this pertaining to reseller accounts etc...

    When I (root) suspend an account and that account happens to have add on domains which have ftp account folders and access, it suspends ok BUT when I unsuspend the account, the account I originally unsuspended unsuspends ok, but it's ftp accounts remain suspended with the .htaccess in tact within their folders.

    The unsuspend process is not removing the .htaccess files that reside IN that accounts ftp account /addons folders when I unsuspend the account. The account isnt owned by any reseller other than root, so why isn't the add-on's or ftp accounts for that account unsuspending? The account was not previously owned by any reseller and changed back. It was always owned by root.

    I also am running Cpanel 11 current.

    Hi,
    Try to remove this line from .htaccess file located in the account www root.
    "RedirectMatch .* http://resellerdomain.ext/suspended.page/"

    ;)

    Quick fix :

    Edit /scripts/unsuspendacct

    Find :
    Code:
            if (-e $docroot . '/.htaccess.suspend') {
                unlink($docroot . '/.htaccess');
                rename($docroot . '/.htaccess.suspend',$docroot . '/.htaccess');
            }
    Replace with :
    Code:
            if (-e $docroot . '/.htaccess.suspend') {
                unlink($docroot . '/.htaccess');
                rename($docroot . '/.htaccess.suspend',$docroot . '/.htaccess');
            }
    	else {
    	unlink($docroot . '/.htaccess');
    	}

    I have the same problem in some of my servers. The only solution is:

    This particular issue is resolved in the latest builds of Stable, Release and Current. As for the other item mentioned, that being the RedirectMatch entry in .htaccess, I'll need to investigate that.

    This is not my problem. The "unsuspend" in WHM don't work

    The WHM canot delete the .htaccess file in the user directory. I have to remove manually.

    Thanks.

    Was the suspension done by root, or by reseller? Which .htaccess file(s) is(are) not being removed, the one in /home/user/public_html or elsewhere? The domain RedirectMatch points to, is it the main domain of your WHM server or a different domain?

    Same problem here!

    When ever we suspend a account as root it wont delete the redirect in the ..htaccess So we have had to to into the users account and delete that line.
    Current cPanel build is:
    WHM 11.2.0 cPanel 11.10.0-C16448
    CENTOS Enterprise 4.5 i686 - WHM X v3.1.0
    Last update we had locked the server up and took techs 10 hours to find out why and get it back online so I'm not sure. Is there a simple fix for this ?

    I think 16448 was supposed to fix this.

    But the user duranduran is using this cPanel version.

    duranduran,

    Try:

    Code:
    upcp --force
    Finally:

    Code:
    /etc/init.d/cpanel restart
    No problems here with suspend in the last RELEASE.
