Unwanted mailman/e-list with new server, how can I switch this off?

We recently put on a new cPanel server, and now I am getting email moderation requests for a list I never set up.

I managed to log in per the link received in email (and by setting the password for just "mailman" in WHM), and I see this at the bottom of the admin page:

Mailman list run by root at name.ourserverdomain.com

And now of course spammers are sending junk to [email protected]

How can I switch off this apparent (default?) root Mailman e-list without disturbing the other hosted e-lists on this server?

Hello :)

Could you open a support ticket using the link in my signature so we can take a closer look and verify if this behavior is by design? You can post the ticket number here so we can update this thread with the outcome.

Thank you.

To update, the existence of the default mailing list is by design. The solution here was to disable archiving and ensure the list is private.

Thank you.

We've done both, but the issue persists.
Please ensure you open the ticket back up to continue troubleshooting the issue if it persists.

Thank you.
