    Hi,

My SATA raid1 box will crash everytime after run upcp. I got millions line of this error on the terminal:

    EXT-FS error device(sd 8,3) in start_:journal has aboarted
IO error: dev 08:06, sector xxxxxxxx

    Now I have to remove

    /scripts/smartcheck

from upcp script. and it will update cp with no problem. I just want to share this to someone if they run into the same situation like me. If someone have solutions better than this, please let me know.

We use SATA RAID arrays with no issue. Sounds like your SATA RAID card doesn't support SMART. Check the cPanel FAQs about how to disable SMART (removing the file as you have done will still cause you problems as your upcp will most likely download the file again at some point).

I certainly wouldn't call this a bug in upcp.
