    On two servers of us we faced strange error. In fact we can't upgrade cPanel at all. We already tried to re-install cPanel using universal-installer, but it didn't help.

    See errors:

    Please, let us know what could be the reason? Also WHM interface not work (blank page with zero sized reply) with the following in logs each time we try to access it:
    Cpanel::OS object version 0.3 does not match $Cpanel::OS::VERSION 0.2.

    Hopefully someone would help...

    Tried to update Perl just in case and got:

    Ran out of working CPAN mirrors. Please contact cPanel Support at /scripts/cPanelPerl.pm line 275.

    Seems like something corrupted with cPanel + Perl. Are there any know solutions?

    Well... the only thing which worked is complete removal of /usr/local/cpanel...

    Code:
    # Remove cPanel's CPAN
    /bin/rm -rf /home/.cp*
    # Remove cPanel files
    /bin/rm -rf /usr/local/cpanel
    cd /root
    /bin/rm -f cpanel-universal-install.sea*
    wget http://layer2.cpanel.net/cpanel-universal-install.sea
    # Start installer, it will take 10-30 minutes depending on hardware
    sh cpanel-universal-install.sea
    # If SultanServer.com ASSP X has been installed, resintall, otherwise skip
    cd /usr/src && tar zxf asspx.tar.gz && cd asspx && sh install.sh;
    # Force cPanel update just for sure
    /scripts/upcp --force

    Note that while doing it you may have various kind of errors for cPanel/WHM interface but if you faced them, you probably have them already.

    Could cPanel staff comment the issue and why it has taken place at the first place?

    When you encounter issues like this, please open a support ticket at https://tickets.cpanel.net/submit/

    Without examining the system in question, before the removal of key directories, all we can offer now is speculation.

    There isn't much we can really guess about what happened since you have removed the whole directory structure. If it does happen again, please open a ticket. In my experience however this is usually caused by a disk, filesystem or ram problem.

    I HIGHLY doubt it is bad hardware. Affected servers all different, HW, OS, DC, ...

    Btw, even after forced cPanel update we can't update MySQL:

    # /scripts/mysqlup --force
    MySQL Setup Script Version 7.0
    Fetching http://httpupdate.cpanel.net/mysqlinstall/STABLE/cPpkgversion (0)....@209.85.80.214......connected......receiving...100%......Done
    Loaded cPPkgs::MySQL ok!
    touchfile called with undefined file at /scripts/cPScript/FileUtils/TouchFile.pm line 17.
    Install Complete

    # cat /usr/local/cpanel/version
    11.23.6-STABLE_27225

    How could we proceed?
