With the latest Exim update and notice in cpanel and over the past week or so we noticied upcp got hung up and has piled up in the crontab with many previous processes running (yes thats quite the run-on). After further investigation and manually running /scripts/upcp we found that cpanel is unable to get updates from the server: http://updatesrc12.cpanel.net/

We attempted to manually ping, as well as reach port 80 on this server to find that its down?

Anyone else having these problems?

I would think cpanel would auto try some other servers which I find it does after hitting ctrl-c when it tries updatesrc12.cpanel.net. Shouldnt it realize one of the mirrors us down rather than retrying for every package DL?

Is there a way to update some config file to change the order of mirrors or sites to DL from?

Ideas?

Thanks,

After hitting ctrl-c on every update that was trying the above mirror site, and letting it fetch from mirrors.kernel.org the upcp finally manually completed.

Now when re-running upcp it runs properly and does not hangup.

This is a bug in cpanel as far as using mirrors and marking availability of each.

WE had this problem a few box
We resolved it by killing all the cp folders from /home
They have many in differnet names all start with cp, they are parts of the install... we also removed any from /root

Tryed update again and it worked

Hope this helps
