I am using FreeBSD 6.2. I believe the problem is caused by
ImageMagick-6.3.6-9.tar.gz being removed and replaced by ImageMagick-6.3.6-10.tar.gz on the mirrors.

The port that is trying to be built requires ImageMagick-6.3.6-9.tar.gz, which it cannot find.

Is there a way to safely update the ports structure in cpanel? I know how to do it manually, but I have a suspicion that doing so will cause lots of problems.

I think part of problem is that the packages repository for FreeBSD 6.2 on all of the distribution mirrors is unavailable. Not sure if that's intentional or not.

When Cpanel needs a port does it pull it off a special "cpanel" server or from your normal ports servers?. We did a ImageMagick update today for 6.2 and it went smoothly but this was not a Cpanel server.

How do you know Freebsd 6.2 packages are not available?. What did you check?. Just would like to have some info for future reference. Thanks.

So, I manually compiled and installed imagemick. upcp still fails, though. But this time, no error message.

Here is the last part of the upcp output:

Ok, I must be confused. The OP of this thread mentioned that he had problems with compiling Imagemagick but you did compile it fine and as per upcp checking shows, are you having imagemagick problems like him or some other problem ?

Are you familiar with the "pkgdb -F" and "portupgrade -a" stuff ?. We often do this on freebsd boxes whenever things all go to hell, but I cannot help you with it as its very specific to your current config. But this usually cleans up alot of weird dependencies and upcp issues.
