Today I see in my upcp report email the following line :

    Checking /dev/hda...Excessive errors

the rest of upcp seems ok.
    Any ideas why this error?

System is RH9.0, cpanel latest stable

    Thanks

look at your /var/log/messages and dmesg. There may be errors in that.. you may need to replace your hard disk.

You might as want to check the kernel & the drivers for your IDE chipset. Forcing a FSCK on a reboot might also help.

The drive has bad blocks but still alive (will be changed soon). Thank you both for your answers.
