Update apache not working!

    I run the update apache to enable GD.

    I get this error mesg when it comes down to the php portion.

    and the configure php-4.3.8 .. takes forever.. i waited 35 mins and it still did not finish up so i canceled it.


    What do I do?

    Does it proceed to completion error free with just the default set.
    Try just the default set of options in php that you get when you run easyapache or buildpapache from WHM
