Hello,
We have an old cpanel "DNS-Only" nameserver that is currently running cpanel v56 on CentOS 6.10. Cpanel can't be upgraded, because the OS is too old.
So it seems we must upgrade to CentOS 7.
This nameserver is one of four cpanel DNS-Only nameservers that are connected as a DNS Cluster to all our web servers. (ns1/ns2/ns3/ns4 -- This server is "ns1".)
Can you tell me what is the process to do this upgrade? My concern is how to sync the zonefiles from the other nameservers in the DNS Cluster, after the OS upgrade is completed. Here is what I am planning:
It is step #4 that I don't know how to do. Can anyone tell me what is needed to get all the zonefiles onto the nameserver after it's ready?
Thanks!

- Re-image the server with a fresh installation of CentOS 7.
- Install fresh cpanel DNS-Only version.
- Log into each cpanel web server that uses this nameserver, click the "DNS Cluster" link, and re-add this nameserver using DNS Role of "Synchronize Changes".
- Sync all the zonefiles from the other nameservers in the DNS Cluster.
It is step #4 that I don't know how to do. Can anyone tell me what is needed to get all the zonefiles onto the nameserver after it's ready?
