When a new account is created/terminated on a cPanel VPS an email is sent to the specified email address with subject line like, "Account Created on srv.changeme.com (domain.com)".

How many different places do you have to change "srv.changeme.com" so that these emails come in with the correct hostname? I believe I have changed this in every possible place I can find within WHM but I still get emails using "srv.changeme.com" as hostname.

Any ideas?

Hello :)

You should be able to change the hostname using the following option:

"WHM Home » Networking Setup » Change Hostname"

This should automatically update all of the configuration files that utilize the server's hostname. Do you see any old entries in the /etc/hosts file for the previous hostname?

Thank you.

Thanks for answering this.

That's the thing; I have the correct hostname set in WHM Home » Networking Setup » Change Hostname, but I still receive emails with the incorrect name. I've also checked the /etc/hosts file and I am not showing the default hostname anywhere. It's definitely odd. Do we know where that email pulls the information from directly?
