We have 2 machines running centos v4 as production boxes. They are fast and stable and lot less resource hoggish than centos/rhel v3. However as of right now this is not a job for the fainthearted, exim , bind , apache did not work right on initial install and required various modifications to make work. If you feel capable of making the various adjustments needed I do highly recommend v4 but if you are not real familer with system admin use v4 at your own risk.

I have no idea when cpanel is planning on supporting v4

the first one i loaded went smooth but these last 2 were anything but easy.

    lots of little issues

and fighting a phpsuexec/frontpage issue on one now

odd thing is both of these machines are exact duplicates and loaded with the same options but one FP/phpsuexec works perfect together other one i can make either work but not both

I agree with all, most services seem to work beautifully, but the exim doesn't quite run too well. Any tip on modifying this?
