    Hello,

    We are trying to update roundcube 0.8.1 to 0.8.4 (WHM 11.34.0 (build 11)) since version 0.8.1 has some security bugs apparently fixed in 0.8.4.

    Following this cpanel document we are trying to force cpanel to read a new roundcube 0.8.4 tarball placing it as the documentation indicates, in /var/cpanel/roundcube, but after that when we try to force update-roundcube, we get this warning:

    Code:
    root@server [~]# /usr/local/cpanel/bin/update-roundcube --force
    [B]Roundcube update from 0.8.1.cp3 to 0.8.1.cp3 in progress.[/B]
    Roundcube will be locked out during this process.
    Can't use string ("/var/cpanel/roundcube/roundcube-") as a HASH ref while "strict refs" in use at /usr/local/cpanel/Cpanel/Email/RoundCube.pm line 262.

    To force the update with new version, do we need to modify this part of RoundCube.pm file?

    Code:
    sub get_version_info {
        ## increment $RCUBE_VERSION upon new version of Roundcube;
        ## in addition, reset the increment on $cp_version to
        ## 'cp1' (or 0, depending on your taste)
        [B]my $RCUBE_VERSION = '0.8.1';[/B]

        ## increment $rcube_cpanel upon next cPanel patch; this corresponds
        ## to nothing other than the '/var/cpanel/roundcube/version' file
        [B]my $cp_version = 'cp3';[/B]
        return ( $RCUBE_VERSION, $cp_version );
    }

    Thanks.

    FYi, the next cPanel update has RoundCube 0.8.4 in it according to the release notes and is available for Current Tier and higher at the moment (version 11.34.1.4).
