update -u There was an SSL error

    I am receiving the following when the update -u cron occurs.

    https://rhn.ev1servers.net/XMLRPC foo
    There was an SSL error: [('SSL routines', 'SSL3_GET_SERVER_CERTIFICATE', 'certificate verify failed')] A common cause of this error is the system time being incorrect. Verify that the time on this system is correct.

    Anyone else encounter this?

    I had an identical problem, but this didn't fix it. Does anyone have any other ideas?

    # rpm -Uvh --force http://rhn.ev1servers.net/pub/rhn-org-trusted-ssl-cert-1.0-3.noarch.rpm

    If you haven't already, you need to log a TT with EV1 and have them re-register your server for RHN updates, which they usually do quite quickly.
