I upgraded to cpanel 10.6.0 - R3 this morning and now email doesn't work. I've poked around here tryed a few things - like upgrading to 10.6.0 - C3. I also, updated MailScanner, tried upcp --force, /scripts/exim4, and others to no avail. I'm running on CentOS 3.5.

When sending email I get the following error returned:

The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

    'somename@somedomain.com' on 8/19/2005 7:18 PM
The recipient name is not recognized
The MTS-ID of the original message is: c=US;a= ;p=SomeDomain;l=HERMES-050820001736Z-872
    MSEXCH:IMS:SomeDomain:HQ:HERMES 3550 (000B09AA) 550 Sender verify failed

    The exim_maillog says:

2005-08-19 19:25:30 failed to expand condition "${perl{checkspam}}" for literal router: Undefined subroutine &main::checkspam called.

    Any ideas?

Are you having the issue globally for the whole server or for a particular domain ?

    Anyway worth a try

    /scripts/exim4 --latest

You probably installed SURBL. and while Cpanel upgrades, a new /etc/exim.pl is replaced, as well as those codes for SURBL. So re-insert those codes will help.

The errors are for a missing exim.pl. As Aby says, you should run (the newer):

    /scritps/updatenow
    /scripts/eximup --force

    And watch it for errors.

What did you do to fix the rpmdb problem, as I'm seeing that error in upcp as well.

See this thread for a solution to the rpmdb problem.

Sorry I didn't respond sooner, I was on vacation.
