Bit of a sanity check needed!

In "Main >> Server Configuration >> Update Config" I have

    cPanel/WHM Updates
    Manual Updates Only (RELEASE tree)

    cPanel Package Updates
    Manual Updates Only
bandmin, courier, dovecote, exim etc etc all set to Inherit.

    Security Package Updates
    Manual Updates Only

Now, I still get notified each night that /scripts/upcp runs...It does a load of checking and repairing etc... Granted it hasn't automatically updated cpanel to the most recent release, so I guess at least that's working as expected - but do the settings above mean that nothing will get updated without my express action? I just don't like the idea of major daemons on my server being updated without my knowing, or bracing myself for the possibility of rolling back.

That's correct. No updates will take place but cPanel updates will still run, as it has several functions still to do.
