    1) How to upgrade cpanel to its different releases, what should I do to upgrade it to latest EDGE/STABLE or RELEASE version.

    2) what to do in case to downgrade it!!

    I want to do it from shell not using WHM

    Well, first you would need to tell it what build you want.
    I *HIGHLY* suggest you just do these things through WHM, as you could very easily screw some things up, and it's not support's place to fix things from manual edits.
    Anyway...
    edit /etc/cpupdate.conf

    CPANEL=manual-edge
    RPMUP=daily
    SYSUP=daily

    for EDGE. You would use the same format for release or stable. Then you just execute /scripts/upcp from shell.

    But why, I ask, are you wanting to do all this manually through SSH?

    Just wanted to know it, the procedure from SSH

    Well, you have provided the exact information I need. I know it is risky from SSH.

    Thanks,
