As I have read... In theory you can use yum to upgrade a server. I would love to make the move to CentOS. Problems. I have a server with Fedora Core 3 and cpanel and many client including my hosted site. Will it safely upgrade in the background and will I still have my stuff there?

Taking in account the tutorial and method that I am looking at is:

Nope your server will be unbootable when you are finished the theory is flawed

this might work but being that the are 2 different OS's the might be some unforseen problems

I have done it twice with centos3 to centos4

Best to just install a fresh image
