After lengthy trouble trying to get cPanel 11 upgraded on FreeBSD 6.1 which seem to have a problem with cPanel upgrade in it is causing /libexec/ to complain about every module installation.

I've compiled a list of things you can do to help in the upgrade process:

    A) Prior to upgrading:

    1) cvsup all ports
    2) deleting /var/cpanel/usebsdpackages
    3) Run /scripts/checkperlmodules
    4) Make sure you're using Perl 5.8.8

    B) What to do if cPanel upgrade went bad with errors or "undefined symbol" errors:

    1) recompiling perl from ports using the following command: "portupgrade -f -m
    '-DWITH_THREADS' perl" (/usr/ports/lang/perl58)
    2) Run /scripts/checkperlmodules
    3) Recompile Ruby18 ports
    4) Recompile libX11 and libXpm ports
    5) Recompile openssh ports
    6) re-run /scripts/upcp --force

Also, update your sources (/usr/src) to RELENG_6_3 or the version you're using using cvsup. Then go to /usr/src/lib and run: make && make install

This will reinstall libc which is the main broken component. According to /usr/src/UPDATING:

Hope FBSDers will have better luck in getting cP 11 installed.
