Hello,

We have a server with php 5.2 and mysql 5.0.
We need to upgrade mysql to 5.1.
It is possible without user's data risk ?

Thank you.-

There is always a risk with any upgrade and so you should dump your databases beforehand, however this is normally a very straightforward upgrade. I'd recommend actually upgrading to 5.5 afterwards whilst you're at it as 5.1 is end of life this year.

Hello :)

Yes, it's always recommended that you backup your MySQL databases before major upgrades. Remember to use the following option to upgrade MySQL:

"WHM Home » Software » MySQL Upgrade"

This option will warn you of potential issues you may face when upgrading MySQL.

Thank you.
