upgrade mysql from 4.0 to 4.1

    I would like to upgrade from 4.0 to 4.1. Is there any cpanel script? Please let me know.

    Login to the WHM >> Tweak Settings >> MySQL and select either v4.1 or v5. If you are upgrading from v4.0 I suggest you select the checkbox next to "Use old style (4.0) passwords with mySQL 4.1+ (required if you have problems with php apps authenticating)" Follow the instructions given there and you should be good to go.

    When you upgrade from one version of MySQL to another it's a good idea to take a backup first incase of problems/compatibility issues so that you can easily downgrade if need be.

    It's simply achieved by stopping chkservd and mysql then take a copy of /var/lib/mysql before performing the upgrade through WHM.
