Ok, I have a odd problem (so i think) I just upgraded from RH9 to CentOS-4.1, and added 512 more memory 1gb total, and now my server just seems to be crawling. I have only 1 site setup on it, and it takes a good 2-3+ seconds to think about loading a page, then bam it starts loading....

the WHM is way laggy, building apache seems to take forever....

anyone else have this proplem and know how to fix it?

you should run some test to narrow down the problem.

Start by testing your connections to make sure that's not the problem. Trace the whole network connections from your side to your server. Test using different PC. Test using different ISP and so on. Check if the DNS you are using is having lag problems. And so on..

Once that is out of the way, you can start checking your server (assuming connection is fine). Test each related component one by one. Check with top command. Is the problem only exist on HTTP or also problem on FTP? SSH? and so on.

Once you narrowed down the problem, everything would become much easier.
