I'd like a solution to this too, I can't seem to upgrade to 2.2.4 for some reason.

you obviously didnt do any research first. You cant use apache 2 with standard cpanel unless you use the edge releases, which is a bad idea unless your just using the box for testing.

edge version is great actually, i use it in production mode, and there have been no bugs that could have not been fixed in 5 minutes of work. the problem is with easyapache2 which works pretty ... bad.

Yes, I conducted research. And after running a simple search, I've seen sites running on cPanel with Apache 2, so don't give me any "I didn't research" crap.

Most of the bugs in EasyApache2 were just mainly the programmers not thinking
things through clearly or forgetting proper sanity checks and I already re-wrote easyapache
totally from scratch about 6 months ago and mine works perfectly for upgrading any cpanel
system to Apache 2 and Apache 2.2 and never runs into the failed build problems or other
issues like your first and second easyapache attempts ever did.

If any of your team needs any help getting up to speed on that, I would be glad
to lend a hand or share what I got, programming tips, etc since I am already
way ahead of the Cpanel development team on this particular item.

    Agreed.

Our developers abandoned he design of easyapache2 after realizing in retrospect there were many things they could have done differently to make that utility function better.

They are currently in the process of finishing easyapache3 which is one of the last critical components of cPanel 11 that need to be finalized before it is officially released.

We also be very interested in knowing if there is any ETA for EasyApache 3....(unofficially of course ;) )

If soon enough, we'll wait for yours...if not, we'll create our own...we'd just hate to do duplicate work if you're already doing it for us in a timeline we can handle! :D
