upgraded to cpanel 8.5.3 last night...email is broke.

    i notice there were issues previously with 8.4, whats the cure to get my email working again?

    Apparently people are sending email, but cannot receive.

    Any bounces, error messages, etc.? Have you tried reinstalling exim (/scripts/exim4) or restarting pop /scripts/restartsrv cppop

    customers are receiving error messages stating that

    The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'pop.auburnskies.com', Server: 'pop.auburnskies.com', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10061, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

    ok, no error messages when customers connect now, many customers are saying everythings ok. Some customers are not receiving error messages, but are getting flags that say "no new messages" when it is quite evident there are emails in the que waiting for them. the que has grown since yesterday from a few messages to over 200, waiting for pickup. any idea whats going on there?

    i attempted to restart CPPOP again, did not fix it.

    somethign happened during the upgrade and it was the resolver config. after i repaired the data there everything went ok.
